Started with One Tractor in High School
Aaron got started with one tractor during high school. Now 24 and going on 4+ years in the business, he runs Fast Forward Plots & Property LLC out of New Era, Michigan — working for hunters and landowners on their habitat and hunting land.
He does this work part-time, spring through fall, and his customers are his friends. Locally, the word has just spread — good work leads to more work. That's how Fast Forward Plots has grown from a single tractor to a full-service land management company serving eight West Michigan counties. Aaron is fully insured and registered with the FMCSA (USDOT 4199023) for trucking operations.
West Michigan is home to a large number of vacation and cabin properties, and those owners are Aaron's main customers. Whether it's clearing land for a building site, putting in food plots for deer, or grading a new driveway — he's the one on the machine getting it done.

The Machine Behind the Work
Aaron runs a 2023 CAT 299D3XE compact track loader — a 110-horsepower machine with a dedicated forestry mulching head that grinds standing trees up to 8 inches in diameter down to ground-level mulch in a single pass. The rubber tracks spread the machine's weight across a wide footprint, which means it can work on soft ground, slopes, and sandy soil without tearing up your property.
Aaron started in high school with a utility tractor doing brush hogging and light grading for neighbors. Within a year he had enough steady work to justify a skid steer, and by 2022 he formed Fast Forward Plots & Property LLC. The CAT 299D3XE came in 2023 — a serious investment in the kind of machine that lets him take on bigger jobs with more precision. That progression from a single tractor to a purpose-built forestry mulcher is what sets his work apart from the guys who show up with a chainsaw and a pickup truck.
In four years of operation Aaron has cleared hundreds of acres across West Michigan — retired orchards in Oceana County, hunting parcels in Newaygo and Mecosta, vacation properties along the lakeshore, and multi-acre development sites in the Ludington corridor. He has designed and planted food plots for whitetail hunters, graded driveways on rural parcels, hauled aggregate for new construction, and cleaned up after logging operations across the Manistee National Forest region. The diversity of work keeps things interesting, and it means Aaron has hands-on experience with every type of terrain, soil, and vegetation West Michigan throws at him.
